About Shantel
My ultimate goal is to make your wedding day as stress-free as possible and this is reflected in my personality, my business approach and in the experience that I craft for my clients.
My focus always has been and always will be on the couple and their love for one another- and my primary role lies in creating timeless and romantic wedding photography that not only documents your day but allows you to creatively express your relationship for all the world to see.
I am passionate about capturing genuine moments of laughter or those silent raw emotional moments of love and during sessions, you can be sure you will feel comfortable and respected at all times. I strive to make my clients feel as though we have been friends for years and encourage laughter, story-telling and authenticity above all.
When I'm not behind the camera you can find me out hiking with my family, playing with my animals or enjoying a sweet treat with my coffee. My family means the world to me and I am lucky to have been married for 14 years and have been blessed with two amazing children.
I started photographing weddings in 2011- at the time I was a family portrait photographer and had never even considered weddings. My family and friends started asking me to photograph their special days and it only took one wedding to convince me I had found my calling!
Not long after I was booked for my first elopement and I was positively over the moon about it for weeks- combining my love for nature, hiking, photography and special moments was a dream come true, so I quickly added elopements to my skill set! I love being an elopement and wedding photographer.
In 2017 I finally made the leap to transferring my business focus to weddings - don't get me wrong, I still love photographing families, maternity and high school seniors - but my passion and calling is when two people vow to love each other for the rest of their lives and having the opportunity to capture that pivotal moment for them.

I give 110% to your wedding. Which is why I only accept a limited amount of wedding each year. I have spent over a decade perfecting my process in order to provide you with the most efficient, enjoyable and high- level service. With years of professional expertise in capturing weddings, I bring a wealth of knowledge and skill to ensure that every moment is preserved with utmost precision and artistry.
