Seattle Elopement // Shannon & Jordan // Shantel Wall Photography

Updated: Nov 9, 2023

I was recently invited along for the sweetest winter wedding here in Maple Valley! Shannon and Jordan are a little untraditional in that they have already spent 11 beautiful years together and finally chose this intimate ceremony to celebrate their commitment to one another under the sacrament of marriage.

This ceremony, held at Shannon's fathers home was the perfect way to honor their love- and can we talk about the serious 'Notebook' vibes this whole day gave me? Shannon, who obviously should have gotten that role instead of Rachel McAdams went with soft romantic curls and a simple yet sweet dress with lace detailing, while totally-better-than-Noah Jordan complimented her in a deep blue suit. They carried this love story all the way throughout the day by saying their vows amid a meadow of soft greens and florals and snagging some portraits in front of these gorgeous columns in front of the house.

My favorite parts of this day centered around the details they clearly planned so well. The sparkly shoes, the nods to their love of fishing and the outdoors. They even incorporated a display of their pictures from childhood all the way up through their current love story which gave all their guests a glimpse of the life they have already intertwined through the years.

Shannon and Jordan have recently purchased a home together, which was actually next door to the home where this ceremony was held. As they await the remodel on their forever home, they managed to plan this wedding in just a few weeks. Which leads me to believe they should do this professionally because this day was perfect in every way despite not spending years planning it. The subtlety of love, respect, down home charm and frankly, amazing food made this Seattle wedding photographer very happy, and I wish Shannon and Jordan all the best as they turn the page into a new chapter of their 'Notebook'!
